Market Terminal
Market Terminal is a large scale multi-phase Planned Unit Development in one of DC's most rapidly changing neighborhoods. Located between Florida Avenue, New York Avenue, and the railway approach to Union Station, the project occupies the site of a former wholesale warehouse district. R2L:Architects master planned Market Terminal, leading a large team of specialty consultants to create a highly connective mixed-use neighborhood, establishing the pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicular pathways and public spaces that are critical to sustaining successful and vibrant urban areas. The program includes five residential buildings, an office building, a destination-retail street, a public plaza, and outdoor park spaces. R2L served as the design architect for the residential buildings through the entitlement process and design development on behalf of Kettler. The design was subsequently executed by other parties as a development called The Gantry.
