Parcel H - Proposal

Parcel H is an unexecuted proposal for the redevelopment of a site in Boston's Seaport neighborhood. Configured to house a transit stop on MBTA's silver line, it was intended to support neighborhood connectivity on a complex, irregularly-shaped site, comply with strict height limits and resilience requirements for flooding, and place a significant amount of housing in immediate proximity to public transit.

The program includes a mix of 616 market rate, workforce, and affordable apartments, publicly accessibly rooftop amenities, below-grade parking, as well as a public transit center and food hall. While contemporary and ordered, the exterior expression draws upon the industrial character of the nearby Fort Point neighborhood, with metal details and a warm color palette. At pedestrian level, extensive operable perimeter walls allow the building to adapt to seasonal weather changes and accommodate neighborhood events. Above, a dramatic sky bridge links the project's two wings while marking the transit hall at an urban scale.
