Design for a beachfront villa. Plans inspired by early modern painters form a series of floorplates that shift and overlap, subtly directing views for living spaces grouped along waterfront exposures. The resulting cantilevered frame provides opportunities for meandering perimeter terraces and enhanced shading for exterior windows. Extensive elevated gardens with native plantings help control storm runoff while gently screening views for enhanced privacy and shading along the landward side of the house.
